Sports Management Associate (Intern)

Job Description: The Sports Management Analyst (Intern) position requires an eager individual who will help implement our current programming and bring fresh ideas to the table. They will report directly to the Senior Sports Manager. The Sports Management Associate will support all efforts and projects designed to build the infrastructure of the company and help it grow.

Job Type: Paid Internship

​Job Responsibilities: 
  • Provide positive, helpful, and enthusiastic "front of the house" customer service via phone and face-to-face contact
  • Supervise evening practice rentals and other activities
  • Assist with the implementation of sports programs, leagues, tournaments, and community events
  • Assist with the development of our annual events calendar
  • Assist with the creation of a year-round marketing strategy for all sports
  • Prepare public service announcements and newsletter articles
  • Contribute to the development of competition and infraction policies
  • Coordinate webcasting and live scoring for all events
  • Generate game schedules, plan and attend coaches' meetings, present awards, and serve as tournament director
  • Tabulate and update leaderboards, publicize event results, and maintain historical records
  • Serve as liaison to the sports officials
  • Become cross-trained in all sports offered by our company
  • All other duties as assigned by the Senior Sports Manager

Job Requirements:
  • Available to work evenings and weekends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in all forms of social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
  • Knowledge of organized sports, the business of sports, and sports marketing
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Prepared to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Able to function both independently and as a valued part of our team
  • Confident and resourceful self-starter
  • ​Junior/Senior/Recent College Graduate
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in the field of Sports Management
