Big House Rules
These measures and procedures are designed to help our guests have a safe and enjoyable visit to our facility. We apologize for any inconvenience you may experience. Make sure you read the rules below so you know what to expect. They will help you to avoid any issues during your visit to our facility.
Waiver
Participants must sign a waiver to participate prior to playing at The Big House. Please click here for the waiver.
Bag Check
The Big House Staff, including law enforcement, has the right to inspect any item at anytime, and refuse entry to patrons who bring items to the facility that are deemed a potential safety hazard or security concern. Final clearance of bags, strollers, packages, and other items is left to the sole discretion of our staff. The Big House reserves the right to revoke tickets of and/or eject patrons in violation of our policies and procedures.
Seating
You may not bring Chairs into The Big House. There are chairs at each court.
Food & Beverages
Any outside food and beverages (including refillable plastic, metal, or ceramic bottles) are not permitted inside. Water/sports drink only in screw-top, vending machine-sized (20 oz or less) bottles. We also have multiple water fountains throughout the facility.
No food, snacks, or beverages other than water and sports drink are allowed in the gymnasiums or on the turf.
Coolers
You may not bring Coolers into The Big House or leave them outside the door. Please keep your coolers in your car.
Guest Code Of Conduct
Waivers must be signed by everyone who enters the Big House. Official rosters filed with your sport’s National Governing Body or scholastic authority (i.e. FHSAA, SSAA, etc.) will be accepted for those individuals listed thereon. Each person’s entry is a limited revocable license, which may be revoked at any time at the sole discretion of the Big House. The Big House reserves the right to eject or refuse admission to any persons who violate our facility rules, or whose behavior is or becomes unruly, or who use vulgar language, or who participate in conduct that is a nuisance or is illegal. Such persons will be escorted from the facility. The accompanying adult of any Minor who is in violation of our policy must also leave the property.
Only sport-appropriate court shoes are allowed on the hardwood. Only rubber-soled gym shoes are allowed on the turf. No cleats, spikes, turf shoes, or wheeled shoes on any surface. Shirts which cover the midriff must always be worn. No sagging pants or shorts.
Child Supervision
All minors not currently participating in on-court/field activities must be directly and actively supervised by a responsible adult at all times, and in an approved area. No horseplay or running in the building. Family members, siblings, and other spectators are not permitted on the courts/cages/field at any time. Toys or balls other than those being used for the teams practice are not allowed in the facility.
Parents/guardians/supervising adults of unattended and/or unruly children will be asked to remove the child and themselves from the facility.
All guests are expected to dispose of bottles, trash, diapers, etc in the trash cans provided.
Athletic Training Services and First-Aid
Athletic Trainers will be on site for sports events. They are there as first responders. They will not prepare an injured player to play.
Service Animals Policy
Only trained service dogs are permitted inside the Big House. Please note that emotional support pets do not fit the definition per the ADA and Florida Law (Fla. Stat. § 413.08 [2022]. The Acknowledgement of Responsibility and Liability Waiver must be signed by the handler. All service dogs must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times. Failure to comply with this policy may result in prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.
Smoking and Alcohol Policy
The entire Big House campus (including building, parking and other outdoor areas within our boundaries) is a Smoke-Free, Vape-Free, and Alcohol-Free zone. This includes adult beverages, cigarettes, vapes, e-cigarettes, tobacco, herb, and any other similar product. There are NO designated smoking areas.
Lost & Found
If you misplace or leave an item behind after practice, please call us at (352-562-7878). After 3 weeks, items in the Lost & Found bin may be donated to charity.
