More Information About Contactless Entry with Blink Identity
What is contactless entry?
We have replaced tickets and wristbands with Contactless Entry by Blink Identity. All athletes and guests must enroll before entering the building. You enroll by submitting a photograph of your face, along with some contact information. The photograph is converted into a set of numbers, like a barcode of your face. These numbers are called a 'template'. |
How does it work?
When you buy a ticket or register for an event at The Big House, your template is associated with that event. Before each event, the templates are copied to the Blink Identity sensor at the entrance. Instead of showing someone your ticket or putting on a wristband, you just walk in. As you walk past the sensor, a second photograph is taken, converted to a template and matched. This allows The Big House employees to manage the entrance from a safe, social distance. |
What about my data?
There are many ways your data is kept safe. First, we only store templates, not photographs. The template can never be converted back to a photograph. Second, we collect minimum data - usually just your name, email, and event date. We also encrypt everything and never share data or connect to external databases. Finally, users always have visibility to and control over their data. You can delete your data at any time by sending an email to 'deleteme@blinkidentity.com' from the email address used to enroll. You can find more information at www.blinkidentity.com. |
